Hello to a Fellow Blogger - a Recruiter

Here finally is a quote from someone on the recruiter side who at least partially understands me, who sees me in the right light, "Physician Recruiter"- Thank You and Welcome!

Begin Quote:

What a pleasant surprise - finally someone who understands me. I am not here to bury recruiters, but to make the job search better for my fellow physicians. Yes, I show the negative side of the real day by day recruiting, yes, I may "over vilify" sometimes, but that is spicy customer feedback. And I am doing this simply because nobody else is doing it. All other blogs are just "Hurray recruiters!" blogs and websites. Balance is sorely needed, someone has to report about the drawbacks, someone has to show the other side!
In my years of dealing with recruiters I just have seen too much hype in advertising (and NO, my dear recrutiers, 1.5 hours are NOT a "short drive"...), too much sales tactics, too much shallow handling of candidates(immediate drop in interest once they find out I want to work in a difficult area such as Miami and Boston), too much sell, sell, sell. I am not happy about the current state of recruiters.
Dear Physician recruiter, I hope your partly favorable comment on my blog does not get you expelled from the NAPR...

Thank you so much for understanding me. I look forward to talking to you more in the future!

Your Matthias Muenzer, MD
